I love tulips more so after Slyvia Plath's poem by the name... it's a pleasure right, to see ur plants bloom :) like u are giving birth, nurturing it and they bear the fruit of ur labour :)

Cheers to life

Smitha: I agree :) I planted them in october. And the sprouts came up only in March, after the snow melted! For the longest time, I thought the rabbits had eaten the bulbs and that they wouldnt flower! It was such a thrill to see them grow! :)

Chatterbox: Thank you :)

SM: Thanks, my friend :)

Fram: Me too! :) However, they have some hybrid varieties of multi colored tulips which I dont like. I love the red and yellow ones more than any other color :)

Shilpa: :) yes, they look beautiful!

Swaram: Yes! Like I mentioned above, I was thrilled! I didnt expect them to grow at all :)

new mum on the block: :):) Thank you! I`m very proud of them, my babies :)

Goof: This was my very first attempt at planting anything! Last year, it was all in containers! :):) It was the biggest and the pleasantest surprise ever!! :)

P&A : ditto sentiments! :) I havent read the poem, though I will right now!

I love tulips, Piper! They are the most beautiful flowers...Both exotic and at the same time, simple.
